At last!

On this September 21, 2026, I am publishing my first choreographies: “September 1969”, 64 counts and intermediate level, and “Sep. ’69”, 32 counts and beginner level. They are designed as a “Dual Dance”: They can be danced side-by-side without collisions. And of course, they can be danced as a “Floor Split”.

In addition to the demo videos for each one and for both together, you’ll find original video tutorials in 3 languages (English, Spanish, and Catalan), AI-translated tutorials synced “by hand” in 3 others (Italian, French, and Portuguese), along with step sheets and the “Behind the scenes“ in 2 others (German and Dutch).

Besides my own choreographies, you’ll find my favorites from other choreographers, my favorite choreographers, and my favorite dancers.

Hi!

It’s been almost 13 years since I started as an instructor at country / line dance in October 2013, and it seems like the stars and/or my guardian angels have conspired to push me in the direction of launching my career as a choreographer.

That’s right: During the hot, sleepless nights of this summer, a light bulb went off in my head, and after thinking them through and dancing them out for a while, I think I already have a couple of choreographies ready to post.

I don’t know if I’ll keep this up, but it’s clear that once I’ve posted the first few, it’ll be easier to publish any that follow.

Just in case, I’ve decided to call the site “Xavi Arpa’s Favorite Choreographies.” That way, if I find that my creativity isn’t enough for more original choreographies and I have time, I might take the opportunity to honor my favorites by other creators.

To help spread the content better, I will try to make the site multilingual, in the languages I know and a few more.

So there you have it: I’m excitedly getting the site ready, and we’ll see if I manage to publish my choreographies in September. 🙂
