Between the years I spent learning dances, then regularly attending country/line dance events, and the years I’ve been—and still am—teaching dances to my students, I’ve learned nearly 250 choreographies. Over time, I’ve forgotten many of them due to a lack of practice—c’est la vie!
However, I danced a select few with special joy and affection in their time. Some for their simplicity, others for their complexity, many for their music, lyrics, or a lucky combination of it all. As a result, they’ve earned a favorite spot in my heart and perhaps in my muscle memory, just in case I ever decide to dance them again. Not to mention others that are on this list simply because they bring back fond memories.
